Our history
Since 1932, Pioneer Weston has built a reputation for developing innovative seals that meet the demands of the most challenging applications. From our beginnings supporting the industrial market, to our expansion into automotive in the 1970s to the complete rotating equipment support we offer today — Pioneer Weston has always been a technology leader.
1932
Charles Weston & Co. Limited is established as a manufacturer of rubber, mechanical and leather seals.
1976
The company is acquired by J.H. Fenner and Co. Limited and merged with its existing Pioneer Oil Sealing & Moulding Co division, a specialist in seals for automotive applications, creating Pioneer Weston.
1980s
Pioneer Weston builds a reputation as a global supplier of sealing products for the automotive and general industrial markets.
1999
The Wyko group of companies acquires Pioneer Weston, which becomes part of Wyko’s specialist sealing division.
2006
ERIKS, a specialised industrial service provider, purchases Wyko and continues to offer Pioneer Weston branded products.
2016
ERIKS invests in Pioneer Weston as a flagship brand, significantly broadening its technical expertise and investing in new capabilities.
2025
Rubix Group purchase the ERIKS Industrial Services UK & Ireland arm of the business.
Present day
The Pioneer Weston range of rotary seals and material specifications continue to drive the brand forward
