Rotary seals that set standards

Pioneer Weston dynamic rotary seals are the industry standard, with our distinguished R4, R6, R21 and R23 nomenclature being the go-to terminology for all engineers. Continually developed over 90 years, our products sit at the forefront of sealing and materials technology.

 

Elastomeric seals

The primary function of these components is to seal on the shaft and prevent external ingress of lubricating oil and grease, either by sealing between the outer diameter of the seal and its housing, or by sealing between the shaft and main sealing lip. A key consideration is that the radial load exerted by the sealing lip is sufficient for lubricant retention, but not high enough to cause excessive friction and wear. The correct profile and material to achieve this balance depends on the application.

PTFE Rotary Lip Seals

A range introduced by Pioneer Weston 40 years ago to offer superior performance in demanding applications where speed, aggressive media, limited lubrication and low friction requirements exceed the capabilities of elastomeric seals.
